Frances Nagot, 98, resident of Shelton and long time resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully at Apple Rehab/Shelton Lakes Health Care Center on the morning of Friday, May 3, 2013. Frances was born in Stamford on June 16, 1914 to the late Teofil and Sophia Pietka. Frances worked as a sales representative for Oven Fresh Bakery, Inc. for over 30 years where she was a dedicated and well loved employee. She was an active parishioner of Holy Name of Jesus Parish for many years and was a member of the Rosary Society and the Holy Name Seniors group. She loved her many visits to Deep River, CT, where she enjoyed listening to the fife and drums at the Tatoo & Muster and going to the outdoor summer concerts. She crocheted many afghans, scarves and shoals for family and friends and for fund raising events benefitting the Deep River Historical Society. She loved life in general and especially enjoyed cooking and playing cards, especially pinochle. Frances is survived by her two sons; Edmund, and his wife Barbara, of Shreveport, LA and Richard of Deep River, CT, her daughter Christine Margait, and her husband Thomas, of Shelton, CT, her seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, three great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John J. Nagot, her brothers Szymeon and Edmund, and her sisters, Helena and Helen. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Apple Rehab/Shelton Lakes for their compassionate care, especially recreational aides Heather and Noreen. Frances's family will receive the condolences of friends and relatives on Monday, May 6th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue in Stamford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 305 Washington Blvd., Stamford, CT. The committal service and interment will immediately follow mass at St. John R.C. Cemetery in Darien. The Nagot family has entrusted the funeral arrangements to Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT.
