Frances Smith Neville, 96, a resident of Darien, CT, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, October 8, 2012. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 27, 1916 to the late Marion (Miller) and Frank A. Smith. Fran lived a long and eventful life with her many friends and family, who loved her dearly. She loved knitting, and often donated her time and talent to the Senior Center of Darien where she knit blankets for the less fortunate. She found much joy in spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandson. She touched the lives of everyone she met which resulted in wonderful life long friendships. Mrs. Neville was predeceased by her husband, Thomas P. Neville Sr., her loving son, David F. Neville, of Darien, and her youngest brother, Truman Smith, of Barefoot Bay, FL. She is survived by her sons, Thomas P. Neville, Jr., of Stamford, and Jeffery A. Neville, of Darien, and her brother, Raymond Smith, of Tucson, AZ. She is also survived by her four grandchildren Jamison Neville, Robbi-Lyn Fleisher, Nicholas Neville and Samantha Neville, and her great grandson, Keaton Fleisher. The Neville family welcomes all friends and relatives on Wednesday, October 10th from 5 to 7pm at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, in Stamford. At the request of the family, a committal service and interment will be held in private. The family would like to extend special thanks to her personal in-home caregivers who were always there for her, providing her with extraordinarily loving care for the past three years, and to all the wonderful people from Hospice who helped her tremendously as of late. The family has entrusted the funeral arrangements to Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT.
