Gerard "Jerry" Grecco, 64, a resident of Trumbull, CT passed away peacefully on Friday, September 28th, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 14, 1948 in Stamford, son of the late Daniel Grecco. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jennifer Williams Grecco, beloved mother, Margaret Cosentino Grecco, loving son, Gerard Grecco and wife Heba, loving daughter, Olivia Grecco, brother-in-laws, Charles Bardelli and wife Janet, Richard Williams and wife Lori, sister-in-law Diana O'Meara and husband Robert and his former wife, Jean Faugno. He is predeceased by his sister, Lucille Bardelli and brother-in-law, James P. Williams. Jerry also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends. Jerry cherished his entire family, but his beloved children; Jerry Jr. and Olivia, were truly the shining stars of his life. There was never a day that passed that he did not show his love and devotion to them. Jerry worked in the construction field for many years. In addition, he also worked for United Parcel Service. He was recently employed by Riko's Pizza. Everyone that knew Jerry, whether it be an acquaintance, or a good friend of which he had many, knew him to be a man with a huge heart and a big smile. Jerry was always good for his amazing stories that kept you laughing, He was truly an unforgettable character and will surely, and sorely be missed.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Rockrimmon Road, Stamford. Relatives and friends may call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford on Tuesday, October 2 from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to the educational fund for Olivia Grecco.
