I met Mr Robinson in the bathroom of the 21 Club. He is one of those memorable people you never forget. How many people that you meet for five minutes can you sat that about? I remember being on the street leaving the restaurant and somehow feeling the deep need to go back and say goodbye, which I did. He is the person all of us try to be. RIP Rev. We will miss you.

“O Christ, give rest to the souls of Thy servants with the saints, where there is no sickness, sorrow or sighing, but everlasting life.”
Prayer for the Departed – Eastern Orthodox Church

I met Rev. Lorenzo at the 21 Club on more than several occasions in the early 1990s while chairing business luncheons when working in the investment banking & securities research business. I would fly into NYC on long cross country flights, and seeing him was so uplifting and inspirational because he always reflected the face of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in his words and deeds. We shared prayerful devotions which always provided spiritual refreshment, and I recall his knowledge of Patristic Greek. Rev. Lorenzo was a discerning man as he noted that I was soon to follow a different path in response to a calling to serve God in an entirely different venue. How right he was! God bless you Rev. Lorenzo! May your memory be eternal.

Respectfully yours in Christ,
Rev. Protodeacon George Haloulakos

To the Family and Friends of Dr.Lorenzo Robinson. We the Saint Paul High Alumni are sad that one of our very own has transitioned to a better place called Heaven. Our precious memories will forever linger as we reflect on our 2011 school reunion, where he was our Keynote speaker. He was in 'AWE' just to be together after more than 50 years at St Paul High School, where we walked, and talked together each day.
Until we all meet again, it is our prayer that you will be strengthened by the 'Touch' that only our HEAVENLY FATHER is able to give...With LOVE and SADNESS we say FAREWELL until we meet again.
