To the Medley family,
As a fellow rider I only knew 'Shaq' from our periodic run-ins on weekend rides. Yet, in spite of not knowing him well, I had/have great admiration for him as he was a kind spirit inside a formidable exterior. His sense of humor, calmness and inner strength were so notable to our group of riders. I will 'talk' to him in my prayers for I know he will listen and that great smile will carry me when I most need it.

It's not easy to understand what happened a few days ago but the song writer says "many things about tommorow I don't seem to understand,but I know who holds tommorow and I know who holds my hand."
I pray that God will give each of you the strength to go on and never lose the memories of your dear brother and Son for it is in the memories that O'neil will live on forever .

Our prayers go out to O'Neil's family. He was a great part of our FAA sports family. O'Neil always greeted me and my children with such a big smile and a warm handshake. He was always encouraging to them even though they were on the opposing team and would compete against them. He was a great competitor and an even better person. Although I didn't personally know O’Neil, I knew who he was upon sight (because of his size) at the Fitness Edge.
