Kikta, Richard J.
Richard J. Kikta, 68, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away peacefully on August 22, 2013 at the Stamford Hospital. Born on February 5, 1945, son to the late Gustave J. Kikta and Helen Butkovsky Kikta.
Richard graduated from the Stamford Catholic High School in 1964; he was a parishioner of St. Cecelia's Church having served as a Eucharistic Minister, Choir Member, and partaking in many parish activities. Richard was also a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus with the Fr. Myron V. Miller Council #5833 and Fr. Myron V. Miller 4th Degree Assembly #1794. Having served as Faithful Navigator and Comptroller, liaison for Fr. Miller Columbiettes Council #5833.
Mr. Kikta is survived by his loving sister Joan M. Romano and her husband John of Stamford, his niece Renee M. Bornstein and husband Hank of Stamford, a nephew John A. Romano Jr., and his wife Dona of Stamford, also surviving are his great nieces Michelle Romano, and Joanna Bornstein, along with great nephews Michael Bornstein, and Brian Romano all of Stamford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated TOMORROW, Monday August 26, 2013, at the St. Cecelia's Roman Catholic Church, 1184 Newfield Ave, Stamford, CT, at 10:00AM, Interment will follow at the Queen of Peace Cemetery, Stamford, CT. There will be no calling hours.
