Boshka, Robert M.
Robert M. Boshka, age 78, of Stamford, CT and more recently, Sunset Beach, NC, went home to be with the Lord on February 6th, 2014. Bob was predeceased by his parents, John and Fannie Boshka of Stamford; and his wife of 55 years, the love of his life, Joan Winters Boshka. He is survived by his sister Delores LaBlanc and her husband Jerry, and his brother John Boshka Jr., all of Stamford. He is also survived by his 7 children; Candace Hinkley and her husband Leo; Pam White and her husband Jody; Patti Gawlak and her husband Tom; Bob Boshka, Jr. and his wife, Vicki; Rick Boshka and his wife Kerie; Jeff Boshka and his wife Terri,; and Amy Catuccio and her husband Paul. He is also survived by his 19 grandchildren who always brought a smile to his face. Bob studied carpentry at Wright Technical School ultimately becoming a Master Carpenter. He was a Member of the Carpenters Union and loved his trade. He would often pause on a rooftop and look at the sky and think "I'm getting paid to do this?" with a chuckle. A memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 12th at Beacon Hill Evangelical Free Church, 371 Old Zoar Rd., Monroe, CT 06468 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bob's memory to The Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405. Colonial Funerals have been entrusted of the arrangements.
