Evans, Robert J.
Robert J. Evans, 61, lifelong resident of Stamford, CT, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2013. He was born May 20, 1952 and was the son of the late John J. Evans and Angelina M. Liscio Evans.
He is survived by his wife, Jewel Pappas Evans of Stamford; a daughter, Melissa Zurkowski and her husband, Jonathan of Trumbull; a son, Robert J. Evans Jr. and his wife, Melissa of Stamford; a brother, John Evans of Stamford; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and by his beloved grandchildren, Michael and Joseph Zurkowski, who were the light of his life.
Rob was an electrician of IBEW local #3 and co-owner of Three Phase Electric, with Richard Gacher, for 23 years. Rob was committed to his family and felt that his greatest accomplishment in life were his two children of whom he was extremely proud of. He leaves behind a loving wife of 40 years who was his best friend and soul mate.
Family will receive relatives and friends from 4pm to 8pm on Friday, July 5, 2013 at the Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11am on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Our Lady Star of the Sea, 1200 Shippan Avenue, in Stamford, CT. His interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, 230 Oaklawn Avenue, Stamford, CT.
