Jansen, Matthew William.
Matthew William Jansen, 26, of Norwalk passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Stamford Hospital. He was born in Stamford on November 27, 1987 to Bernedette Viesto Suppa and Albert Jansen.
Matthew is survived by his devoted mother Bernedette Viesto Suppa, his loving sister Christina Ann Jansen, his loving stepfather Tony Suppa all of Norwalk, his maternal grandparents, Frank and Gladys Viesto of FL. Also surviving are his step brother JR, step sister Stefanie and step grandmother Grace Suppa of Stamford, CT, as well as Uncles Paul Viesto and his wife Tammy, of Sandy Hook, CT, Frank Viesto and his wife Anna Marie, of Oxford, CT, Aunt Mary Lou Yacobellis of FL, and his father Al Jansen of Southbury, CT, and Uncles Robert, Mike, Dave (Rachel), and Stephen (Teresa) Jansen of CT and many Great Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Lynn Gillotti, To Doctors Tim Kenefick, Sanford Swidler, Lisa Rooney and staff of The Pediatric Center in Stamford, To Dr. Al Fusco and Staff, To the Stamford Hospital Pediatric Unit, Stillmeadow School in Stamford, St Vincent's Special Needs School in Trumbull and to The Kennedy Center (Project Triumph) in Trumbull, who all became an extended family.
A funeral procession will be leaving The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 2, 2014 for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John's RC Cemetery, Darien. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
