BETSY ANN LEVINSON, lifelong resident of Stamford, and dedicated philanthropist passed away Tuesday morning at the age of 64. Mrs. Levinson was an involved member of the Stamford community. In addition, she served as President of the William and Sylvia Silberstein Foundation, giving generously to various medical and medical research institutions including Stamford Hospital and various other Stamford charities. Levinson was also a member of the Stamford Yacht Club. Born in Hammond, Indiana on May 9, 1945 to William and Sylvia Silberstein, Betsy is survived by her daughter Debra Lynn Dietz, her son-in-law, Bryan and her beloved grandsons Grant and Mason. She is also survived by two brothers, Bruce Silberstein and his wife Carolyn, New York, NY, and Sigmund Silberstein and his wife Donna, Boca Raton, Fla. Services will be held at Gallagher Funeral Home, located at 2900 Summer Street, Stamford CT at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 6. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stamford Hospital in memory of Betsy Levinson.
