MICHAEL LOMBARDO, a Riverside, resident passed away on January 4, 2011 at Stamford Hospital with his family at his side. Born on February 17, 1933 in Stamford, the son of the late Joseph Lombardo and Mary Gerardi Lombardo. He is survived by his devoted wife, Catherine Lagani Lombardo. Mr. Lombardo served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was the owner and operator of Michaels Hair Loft in Riverside. He is survived by his beloved children, Michael Lombardo Jr. and his wife Suzanne; Laura Lombardo Pizzuti and her husband Ralph; 5 loving grandchildren Lily, Michael III, Julia, Victoria, Phillip; and his sister Annmarie Poulos. He is predeceased by his sister, Joann and brother, Joseph. Mr. Lombardo played for the House of David, a semi-pro baseball team. He was an avid golfer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4 Riverside Avenue, Riverside, CT. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, 1 High Street, Rye Brook, NY. Relatives and friends may call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford on Thursday, January 6, 2011 from 4 to 7 p.m.
