JOANNE L. (KURAN ) YARISH, 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June25, 2011 at Regency Heights of Stamford. Mrs. Yarish was born on February 24, 1938 in Astoria, L.I. N.Y to the late John F. Kuran Sr. and Mary Agnes (Petro ) Kuran. She moved to Stamford when she was 2 years old. Joanne was a retired insurance agent having worked in insurance all her life. She was a member of the Goodwives Quilters, the Columbetts of the Knights of Columbus. She served as past president of St. Benedict's Ladies Guild and was on the church's Council Committee. Mrs. Yarish is survived by her son William A. Yarish and his wife Kimberly of Whispering Pines, NC. Two grandchildren, Kristin D. Yarish and Troy T. Yarish, of Stamford, former daughter-in-law, Deborah F. Yarish, of Stamford. A brother, John F. Kuran Jr. and his wife Louise of Norwalk, a brother-in-law Richard Ruscoe of GA. Nieces Kerri A. Barker (Jack), of Stamford, Jennifer L. Newcomer (Justin) of NM, Michelle L. Hotchkiss (David) of NC, Tara D. Ruscoe of GA. Two Great Nieces, Cheyenne & Carrigan of GA and many cousins and friends. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sister Carol J. Ruscoe in April, 2010. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nursing staff of the Regency Heights of Stamford, for their exceptional care and comfort they provided. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, June 28th, 2011 at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave, Stamford, CT at 10:00 AM with Monsignor Peter Dora Officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien, CT. Friends may call Monday, June 27th, 2011 at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. The Nicholas F.
