Hanging out & going to school with Barbara, Jon, & Bobbie gave me ample opportunity to realize that "Mrs Jarvik" was a special mom. My heart goes out to all three of you for your loss.

Edythe was a wonderful friend. She was 35 years older that I, but her spirit was of someone much younger. She was so funny ! We'd be in her kitchen and she'd ask me a question. She would have me caught in a corner and after the question, she would not say another word. She waited until she got an answer before she spoke again. We had so much fun together. She always gave more than she took. She indirectly inspired me to write poetry -- not that I'm good at it,
but that gives me something to do.
She was just the loveliest person, and I'm so glad I got to know her.
Love and peace to, Edythe, my friend !

Although I have never met Edythe, I will always remember her dear husband, Dr. Jarvik. He was a gentle man who was always kind to me and other nurses at Stamford Hospital and I suspect Edythe was just as dear. My best to the family.

"I smell a roast". Growing up in Stamford and having dinners and bagels and lox at the Jarvik house was a huge part of growing up. My best to Jon, Robbie and Barbara in celebrating the life of Edythe.

My sincerest condolences to her family and friends. I had the privilege of meeting her many years ago in her Stamford home for a happy occasion, and she was aglow.

To the Jarvik Family, so sorry to hear of your loss.
Although I did not know Mrs Jarvik, Dr Jarvik took great care of me when I was young. No doctor has lived up to his standards since.
