Joseph M. Quigley, 80 formerly of Westport, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012 surrounded by family and friends in Naples, Florida. The cause was Cancer. He was the son of the late Joseph and Ethel Quigley of Nutley, New Jersey. Joe encouraged participation in high school sports and was a supporter of the Staples High School wrestling program in the late 1980s. He sponsored many off season wrestling activities for a group of high school athletes, including trips to out-of-state tournaments. His step-sons, Peter and Zach Cahill, were both State-open champions. After graduation from Cornell University in 1954, Joe worked in information systems for Burroughs, IBM, Xerox, Continental Can, and Comsat Corp. He retired in 1992. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Judith, her sons Peter and Zachary. His children, Michael, Laura, and David. His grandchildren, Martin, Daniel, Clover, Brian, Aidan, Jared, and William. His Cousin, Phillip Feigel, and nephew, Phillip B. Feigel of Dallas, Texas. A funeral mass will be held July 28, 2012, at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull, CT. at 11 AM.
