Tommaso Pistone, 71, of Stamford, passed away peacefully at home on November 10, 2012. Tommaso was born in Joppolo Giancaxio (AG) Sicily on February 2nd, 1941 to the late Carmelo and Maria Abissi-Pistone.
Tommaso loved his wife and family, along with his homemade wine and spaghetti. He also greatly enjoyed baseball, golf, and swimming. Tommaso also had a love for Ponza Italy, where he has a home and was soon going to move with his wife. Mr. Pistone is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Pompea Romano Pistone. His son Roberto Carmelo Pistone and his wife Angela of Branford. Daughter Patrizia Maria Pistone Perrera and her husband Antonino of Stamford, and son Michele Thomas Pistone and his wife Fiorella of East Haven. His five loving grandchildren Gabriel, Isabella, Rachel, Rebecca, and Antonino. Also surviving a brother Giovanni Pistone of Queens, NY , brother Angelo Pistone of Sicily, Italy, also his sister Carmela Pistone La Manna of Queens, NY.Besides his parents Tommaso is predeceased by his two brothers Giuseppe and Salvatore Pistone. A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 9:20AM and Proceed to Saint Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, 80th Street & Juniper Valley Road, Middle Village, Queens, NY 11379 for an 11:00AM Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow at the St. Johns RC Cemetery, Queens, NY.
