Chiappetta, Francesco
Francesco "Ciccio" Chiappetta, 65, of Monroe, CT, formerly of Stamford, passed away on November 29, 2012 after a long illness. Born on April 18, 1947 in Cosenza, Province of Calabria, Italy, he was the son of the late Michele Chiappetta and Carolina (Perri) Chiappetta. He is survived by his wife, Marie G. Chiappetta; his loving children, Stephanie Klein and husband Robert, Michael G. Chiappetta and wife Colleen and Melissa Chiappetta-Roberto and husband Matthew as well as his grandchildren; Alyssa, Robert and Andrew Klein, Keira Chiappetta and Gabriel Roberto; sisters, Francesca Ceci of Greenwich, Maria Covello of Italy and Rita Angotta of Stamford; and several nieces and nephews. Francesco had a love of his homeland, soccer, poker, cars and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. The family would like to express their eternal gratitude to Dr. Bharucha, Dr. Rosa, Dr. Tortorello, Dr. Green, Dr. Vietorisz, DaVita Dialysis Unit of Bridgeport , St. Vincent's Wound Care Center and The Monroe Senior Center, and all of their devoted staff for their excellent care given to Francesco throughout the years. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 1 at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1056 Daniels Farm Road, Trumbull, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford on Friday, November 30 (TODAY) from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
