Frank Vigliotti, a beloved father and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 21, 2012 at his home in Clearwater Beach, Florida. Frank was born October 31, 1945 in Detroit, MI to the late Dorothy (Peters) and Dominic Vigliotti. Frank grew up in Detroit and graduated from Cass Technical High School in 1963. He attended Carnagie Mellon Univeristy in Pittsburg, PA earning a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design in 1967, and followed with a Masters in Graphic Design from Allgemeine Gewerbeschule in Basel, Switzerland in 1969. Frank mosty lived and worked in New York City before he moved his family to Stamford, CT in 1988. Frank was an artistically gifted individual with a keen eye for conceptual design. He worked as a graphic designer for various companies and firms for 26 years. He also taught art at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, and at Philadelphia College in Philadelphia. In 1994 he launched his own firm, Fig Design, which he ran until his retirement to Clearwater Beach, FL in 2008. Over the course of his career Frank worked on many logos, some of which are well known and still in use today. Frank enjoyed fishing, boating, photography, spending time with his family, and watching his children's sporting events. Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 23 years, Lorraine, in 2006, and is survived by a son Max Vigliotti, of Boston, MA, a daughter, Ivy Vigliotti, and a granddaughter, Mariyah Ray, of Bridgeport, CT. In addition to his wife and parents, Frank is predeceased by his brother Dominic. The family will commemorate Frank's life and receive condolences on Saturday, January 19th from 12pm to 2pm at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, in Stamford.
