Loglisci, Joseph N.
Joseph Neil Loglisci, 83, of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at home on Saturday, March 16, 2013. He was born on September 4, 1929 in Stamford to the late Joseph and Mary Candito Loglisci.
Joe received a BA from the University of Miami in 1951 and worked as an Insurance Agent with John Hancock Life Ins for twenty three years before his retirement. He was a veteran in the US Army having served in the Korean War. He was an avid NY Yankee fan and enjoyed the outdoors ,working at Chestnut Hill Park in No. Stamford and especially spending time in his garden and with his family, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Margaret "Mickey" Colombo Morelli Loglisci of Stamford, his former wife Gayle Hand, his two sons Robert and Michael Loglisci, his brothers Pat "GI" Loglisci and his wife Jennie, Nicky "Bones" Loglisci and his wife Helen, a sister Lucille Tomczyk and three step daughters Debbie Young, Lynn Morelli and Jodi Morelli. Also surviving are his seven grandchildren Hannah, Talon, Courtney, Ryan, Anna, Nina, Chris and one great grandson William.
Besides his parents, Joe was predeceased by his son Joseph "Beaver" Loglisci and his sister Rose Marie Interlandi.
A funeral procession will be leaving The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 9:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Maurice RC Church, 358 Glenbrook Rd, Stamford at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, 230 Oaklawn Ave., Stamford. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
