Robustelli, Kathy J.
Kathy Joyce Robustelli, 63, of Stamford passed away peacefully on June 28, 2013 at her home. With her family by her side, she faced her illness with courage, passion and conviction. Throughout her life and during this recent difficult time, her main priority was to love and care for her family.
Kathy was born in Greenwich on March 22, 1950 to Edward and Lucy Carlo Joyce. She graduated Stamford Catholic High School and went on to receive a Bachelors Degree from Central Connecticut State University. Kathy later achieved her Master's Degree from Fairfield University, after which she became a teacher at Toquam School, more recently teaching at Holy Spirit School.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband Richard A. Robustelli, her mother Lucy P. Joyce, her children; Marc and Margaret Robustelli, Katie Robustelli, Emily and Luke Kaufman and Gregory Robustelli, as well as three grandchildren; Mia and Anna Robustelli and Jack Kaufman, and one brother; Timothy and Kathy Joyce.
Kathy is predeceased by her father Edward A. Joyce. Kathy touched many lives. Her kindness, generosity of spirit and her love for friends and family will long be remembered.
A funeral procession will leave the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue Stamford, CT at 9:45AM on Wednesday July 3, 2013 and proceed to The Basilica of St. John the Evangelist RC Church, 279 Atlantic Street Stamford, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:30AM. Interment will follow at St. John's RC Cemetery, Darien. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday July 2, 2013 from 3:00PM to 8:00PM.
