Pasqua, Pasquale J.
Pasquale J. Pasqua, 85, of Stamford passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Waveny Care Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 9, 1928 in Stamford to the late Ferdinando and Antoinette Mazzucco Pasqua.
"Patsy" was employed at S.N.E.T. for 28 years and and retired in 1983, at which time he founded P.J. Wiring. Pat was an accomplished musician, and was appointed to the West Point Military Academy Marching Band. In addition, Pat served his country in the Korean War. Pat was an avid NY Giants fan and enjoyed fishing, bocce, gardening, whittling, music, especially playing the accordion. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Striper Fisherman Club, Telephone Pioneers, Minturnese Social Club and UNICO.
He is survived by his cherished daughters, JoAnn Rogoski and her husband Peter of Southampton, NY,Susan Smeraldi and her husband Patrick of Stamford; three loving brothers Anthony Pasqua and his wife Lucy of Stamford, Fred Pasqua and his wife Emily of New Canaan, Atilio Pasqua and his wife Ann of Stamford and brother-in-law Sam Romano and his wife Phyllis of Ridgefield, CT. Also surviving are his loving grandchildren, Stephen Rogoski and his wife Jaime, Kenneth Rogoski and his wife Alyson, Alexandra and Liza Lee Smeraldi and one great grandchild, Makayla. Pat also leaves behind many loved nephews and nieces.
Beside his parents, Pat was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife of 53 years, Lee Romano Pasqua, his three sisters Mary Morelli, Caroline Orsaia, Rose Pasqua and a brother Dominick Pasqua.
A funeral procession will be leaving The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 9:50 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Holy Spirit RC Church, 403 Scofieldtown Road, Stamford. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Rockrimmon Road, Stamford. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, October 14, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 PM.
The family would like to express their gratefulness to the Staff of the 2nd floor west at Waveny Care Center. Their dedication, love and compassion for Pat will always be remembered. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pat's name to Waveny Care Center, Employee Fund C/O Waveny Care Center, Three Farm Road, New Canaan, CT 06840.
