Dear O'Brien family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sorry I was out of town and missed the wake and funeral. I would have liked to pay my deep respects. Brigid was a unique and shining gem who lit up the room with her kind radiance.By her quiet example she showed others how to "trudge the road of Happy Destiny," and that is just one of her many legacies. She'll be missed by many.

Dear Obrien family,
Bridget is a good friend and I use the present tense on purpose. I just got a note from a friend that she passed 5 minutes ago. I'm very sad. If she's not in heaven already I don't know if there is any hope for the rest of us.
I shared this poem with her and I'd like to share it with you it's called "A Miracle in Time" she liked it.
We are just a whisper in the miracle of time.
What now, what hour, what day, what decade,or what year.
We're sand grains in the moment washed away with just a tear.
So take a chance and laugh at life he's counted every hair.
Just fall into his arms of love.
Be channels of his peace.
We're grains of sand it rest in the moment of his grace.
We are the children of a kind and gentle God who showers us with blessings every day.
His love has no conditions there are no strings attached
so take a chance and laugh at life he's counted every day, just fall into his arms of love behold is Holy Face.
Surrounded with his grace.

Brigid I always called you Bridgette. You always took the time to say hello ,and you always asked me how I was doing? And took the time to listen and really care . I knew you were sick but you never complained ,that was your way . I will always miss seeing you at the club. That table now will have one more empty chair, I always admired you. I picked up a 30 year coin today at the club. May you always rest in peace. You are loved by by me

Mrs. O'Brian was a neighbor at Haywood Heights the past 13 years. I would often see her walking her dog when I was walking my dog.
Mrs.O'Brian was a lovely lady.
I extend my deepest sympathy.

I feel honored to have known Bridget and will cherish my memories of her. She was a true lady and one of my role models. We enjoyed discussing art and literature. I knew, as a fellow wordsmith, that she understood my literary references. She left a beautiful legacy for many people.
