Helga Reznikoff Obituary

Reznikoff, Helga
Helga who fled here at age eight from Nazi Germany and became the first woman admitted to Yale University's Graduate School of Anthropology, died on September 5 at 85 in Norwalk, CT. She was beloved, brilliant, bawdy and hysterically funny, with a passion for art, literature and music that she passed on to her children, 11 grandchildren and to thousands more as a librarian in Hallandale, Florida, where she was named Librarian of the Year several times. She was generous to a fault, except when she played bridge. She was a Silver Life Master, earning 1,616.11 points. She is survived by her three children, Anne Bratskeir, Alex Reznikoff and John Reznikoff, by their spouses Stan, Carol and Samantha Gosein, and by her grandchildren Nicholas, Kate and Amy Bratskeir, Lauren Mundell, Elizabeth, Maggie, Lena, Charlie and Lucas Reznikoff, and Brendan and Logan Keevan.
