Sylvia Bologna
Sylvia (Sullo) Bologna, 85, a lifelong Stamford resident, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2017 in Norwalk Hospital. Born on April 11, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Maria Grace (Moccia) Sullo. In addition to her parents, Sylvia was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank, sisters Mary Poccia and Yolanda Pacelli and brother Patsy Sullo. Sylvia is survived by her daughters Donna Anderson and her husband John of Auburn, Massachusetts, Patrice Caviola and her husband Rick of Norwalk, son Frank Jr. and his wife Loren of Milford and her five grandchildren, Robert Anderson, Chris and Kaitlin Caviola and Kevin and Jessica Bologna. She is also survived by her sister Gloria Letkowski and many nieces and nephews. Sylvia was employed at Pitney Bowes for over 25 years. She enjoyed travelling, going to the casinos and spending time with family, especially her five grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial with be celebrated on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Entombment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 3-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charity of one's choice. My sincerity sympathy to you all. You have lost a wonderful mother and grandmother. She made us all feel welcomed and loved. She was a great god mother to me. To visit her was always fun.
