Charles Frederick Foley

Obituary

Foley, Charles Frederick (Chuck) 82, born in Lafayette, IN, on September 6, 1930, passed away on July 1, 2013 in St. Louis Park. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hopkins at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 10th, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am, a reception immediately following Mass, and burial at St. Margaret's Cemetery in Hopkins. Chuck will be laid to rest next to his lovely wife, Kathleen A. Foley nee Maley, who preceded him in death, as did his father, Frederick C. Foley, his mother, Cathleen M. Foley, his sisters, Mary Biafora (Louis), Suzanne Howard and Elizabeth. He is survived by his sisters Veronica Lewis (John) and Carolyn Walker, and his brothers Mike (Rosie), Bernard (Sharon) and his children, Chuck (Andrea), Mary Kay, Mark (Barb), Kevin (Mary), Kerin Logstrom (Denny), Brian (Teresa), Katie (Mike), Pat (Gina), Mike (Terrie), as well as 16 beautiful grandchildren, 4 wonderful great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Chuck served in the Michigan Air National Guard from December 1950 to June 1953. Known as, "Mr. Twister", Chuck is the holder of 97 U.S. Patents including the party game Twister that he co-invented with his good friend Neil Rabens in 1966. His passion for creating things was only challenged by his love for the outdoors. Hunting in the northern woods and fishing on any available body of water put a sparkle in his eye and a skip in his step. With his many successes and hobbies, Chuck always maintained it was his family that brought him the most joy and sense of pride. He will be remembered as a father who did all he could to protect and love his precious family. Dad, "Up to the sky and down again!" Twin Cities Cremation 612-866-6711

Charles foley god bless your family

Dad,

Today you are turning 83 years old in the hearts of your entire family. We miss you, but we know you are content and happy with our Lord and Kay, who is the love of your life! Up to the sky and down again.

Your son, Chuck

Happy 83rd, Dad! I wonder how you and Mom might be celebrating it "upstairs" ;) I love and miss you both! I remember how Mike and I used to celebrate your birthday: we'd find the nearest convenience store (Brooks Superette when we lived on Sumter) and buy you a Hershey Bar. Thank you for all that you passed on and for the way you continue to be present. I love you! Pat

To Kevin - and all Foley family members -
My deepest sympathy and love goes out to you.
