Wakefield, John E. Age 88, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 26, 2015. John was born on February 5, 1927 a son of Archibald and Anna (Rhode) Wakefield. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Irene Hayduk Wakefield; daughter Kathy Wakefield; brother Daniel Wakefield; sisters, Marie Burlew and Helen McConnell. John is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Janette M. and David Weaver of Roanoke VA; son and daughter-in-law, John E., Jr. and Sheila Wakefield of Elmira; grandchildren, Jennifer Pacheco, David (Rhonada) Weaver, Mary Elizabeth (Alex) Dove, Ann Weaver, Kara (Patrick) McInerny, Ryan Fletcher and Alex Wakefield; great grandchildren, Wyatt Dove, Aubrey and Callan McInerny. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. John was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II. He had worked as a welder at American Bridge for 38 years. John went on to work at Winchester Optical for another 25 years before retiring at the age of 85. At John's request, private services will be held. Arrangements by McInerny Funeral Home.

Wilson, Inga-Lill  
WILSON, Inga-Lill Age 85 of Horseheads. She was born June 30, 1929 in Elizabeth, NJ to Gustav and Margit (Helin) Rosander and passed away April 20, 2015. Inga-Lill was predeceased by her husband, James M. Wilson in 1996. Her surviving family includes her daughters, Adrienne Wilson of Opelika, AL, Jeannette (Michael) Spillane of Medway, MA, Louise (Ronald) Furstoss of Horseheads; grandchildren, Michael (Megan) Furstoss, Ronald (Erin Root) Furstoss, Anthony Furstoss, Gregory Poole, Matthew (Katherine) Furstoss, James Poole, Alexander Wilson, Ryan Spillane; great grandchildren, Michael Furstoss and Katherine Louise Furstoss. She was a graduate of Ithaca College, an accomplished vocalist and pianist. In her earlier days she was a member of North Presbyterian Church, Elmira Little Theatre and Thursday Morning Musicals. She enjoyed performing as well as encouraging young musicians to reach their potential. As an accomplished musician, she taught piano privately for many years. Inga-Lill had a passion for the Arts and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved being the piano accompanist for her husband, the late James Wilson and his many students, including her daughters, supporting many young people in performances as they developed their skills and joy for making music. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., Horseheads on Friday April 24, 2015, from 11 am-1:00 pm. Her service will follow there at 1:00 pm Burial in Woodlawn National Cemetery. WOLF, GAIL M. (KAKRETZ) Age 74 of Horseheads, NY peacefully left this Earth to go to her Heavenly Home on Sunday April 19, 2015 surrounded by her loving family after a brave and long battle with cancer. Gail was born August 20, 1940 in Plattsburgh, NY the daughter of the late Albert and Clelia (Butler) Kakretz. She married her husband, Thomas H. Wolf, on July 18, 1959 and they would have celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary on July 18, 2015. Gail was pre-deceased by her parents, brother Albert E. Kakretz, sister Beverly Marsh, sister-in-law Anna Jo Mahoney and brother-in-law Gerald "Gerry" Wolf. Gail is survived by her loving and devoted husband Thomas H. Wolf; her sons and daughters-in-law: Thomas M. & Jules Wolf of Liverpool, NY, Michael T. & Debra Wolf of Liverpool, NY, Scott T. & Juliana Wolf of Horseheads, NY, Edward T. & Lisa Wolf of Horseheads, NY; daughter and son-in-law: Lynn & Keith Andryshak of Horseheads, NY; 13 grandchildren: Aaron, Ryan, Kristen, Lauren, Austin, Stephen, Joshua, Cassandra, Nathanael, Jared, T.J., Keli, and Samantha; 2 great grandchildren: Cadence and Titus and a third great grandchild Lydia to be born in June; sister-in-law: Jeannette Wolf of Wellsburg, NY; brother-in-law: Ernie Marsh of Beaver Dams, NY; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of caring friends especially Dan and Tracey Wheaton of Elmira, NY. Gail was a loving and devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and true friend who loved the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a devout member of Maranatha Bible Chapel and served in many various positions in the church. Gail truly blessed the lives of those who knew her. She will be sincerely missed by family and friends. The family would like to give a special Thank You to the members of the Chemotherapy and Dialysis Staffs at The Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Gail's Life on Wednesday April 22, 2015 at 6:30 PM at Maranatha Bible Chapel 774 Sing Sing Road Horseheads, NY. In lieu of flowers, Gail has requested that memorial donations be sent to The Gail Wolf Memorial Fund c/o Maranatha Bible Chapel 774 Sing Sing Road Horseheads, NY 14845.
