He was an avid golfer who made every effort to play no matter where he was or who he was with. Randy played regularly with his dear friend Lou Fossaceca at Soaring Eagles. His patience and strength of character were defining traits that will have a lasting effect on those fortunate enough to have known him. At family gatherings you always knew where Randy was because he was surrounded by a cloud of grandchildren who were often climbing on him. Along with his wife, Randy was a welcoming entertainer of family and friends. His door was always open and there was always room for one more person, in his view (even if there really wasn't). He started his professional career in the industrial filtration business at Hilliard's in the early 1960's after a brief period of time in the seminary. He remained in the filtration industry throughout his entire career owning and running a number of small businesses, participating in multiple industry associations throughout the years, prior to concluding his career at Northeast Filter as a Sales and Technical Support Executive.
