AMEIGH, Grace P. 92, formerly Rock Stream, NY, where she made her home for 61 years, and formerly of Montour Falls, passed away in the comfort of her daughters home in Watkins Glen, on Saturday, May 21, 2016. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Wednesday (May 25) from 3:00pm-5:00pm; followed by a funeral service at the funeral home at 5:00pm. She is survived by daughter, Elizabeth (Joe) Matwiejow of Watkins Glen; sons, Robert (Donna) Ameigh of Dundee, and David (Estella) Ameigh of Dundee, NY; and many other loving family. Bennett, Ethel Irene (Brink)  
Bennett , Ethel Irene nee: Brink Age 88 of Lowman, NY died Sunday, May 15, 2016. She was born September 24, 1927 and married to the late Chester N. Bennett for 58 years. She is survived by her son and daughter in-law, Chester (Vicki) Bennett; granddaughters Renea (Michael) Roussell and Heather (Brett) Cavanaugh; great grandchildren Jody Bubacz, Christopher Bennett, Cassandra, Ethan and Madisonrose Cavanaugh, Michael Jr. and Alexander-Maximus Roussell; great great granddaughters Vanessa and Hailey Buskirk; sister, Ivy Rawley; sister-in-law, Clara Brink; several nieces, nephews and cousins. At Ethel's request there will be no calling hours or funeral service but those wishing may attend her graveside service in Riverside Cemetery at 1:00pm, Monday, May 23rd in Lowman. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Kalec Funeral Home.

Boughton/Swartout/Clearwater, Myra J. Myra J. Boughton/Swartout/Clearwater, 69 of 163 Main St., Van Etten, NY, went to be with the Lord May 20th 2016. Myra was born July 2nd 1946 to Carl and Adeline Clearwater of Odessa, NY. She was self employed, providing care for the elderly at her home "The Boughton Family Home" for more than 20 years. She is a mother to Thomas J. Swartout Sr. and Ronda S. Swartout. A grandmother to Thomas J Swartout II, Chelsea M. Swartout, and Jesse J. Swartout. A great grandmother to Thomas J. Swartout III. Myra is also survived by her sisters Cheryl Bailey, Carla Harriger, Feida White, and Florence Grantier along with many nieces and nephews. As per wishes of the family, there will be a memorial service at Myra's home in Van Etten, NY on Sunday June 5th 2016 from 2pm to 7pm.

Breitung, Robert J. (Bob)  
BREITUNG, ROBERT (BOB) J. Of Horseheads, NY went to Join his beloved wife Gloria, at the age of 86 very unexpectedly on May 17, 2016. Born on December 21, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY to parents, Benjamin and Grace Breitung. He was the youngest of two sons. Brother's Ben and Bob remained close all of their lives. After graduating High School, Bob served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War on an LTV as a pipe fitter. He served faithfully and had many amazing experiences. He was honorable discharge and continued to be involved in Naval groups. He married his sweetheart Gloria Russe on June 27, 1952. Together they raised a beautiful family of 5 daughters and one son, on L.I. NY where Bob worked as a wiring technician for Western Electric Company which he retired from after 30 plus years of dedicated service. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, skeet shooting and the NY Mets. Activities he enjoyed most with his children and grandchildren. He regularly attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Horseheads. Bob also volunteered at lunch services for seniors. " The Man The Myth The Legend". He was known and loved for his humor, his stories, his "Bobisms" and his unique Brooklyn accent. He will be greatly missed by his large family and many friends. Bob is survived by his 5 daughters Mary Zurcher, Nancy Morley, Robin Dillard, Karen Tassoni and Ellen Rinaldi and son Thomas Breitung. Proud grandfather of 19, great grandfather of 18 and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside Service will be held on Friday May 20, 2016 at 10 AM at Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira, NY. Also a "Celebration of Life" memorial will be held on Saturday June 18th , 2016 from 1PM-3PM at the Retirement Estates Community Center 34 Retirement Drive Horseheads, NY. In lieu of flowers those wishing may remember Bob through donations to DoGoodMultnomah.org , a non profit organization that provides an emergency shelter for homeless Veterans which his grandson Christopher established. Brown, Edward G. Edward G. Brown at age 83 of Southport passed away Tuesday May 24, 2016, peacefully at his home with family by his side. Born on Oct. 14, 1932 Ed was the son of the late, Edward J. & Irene A. Wood Brown. In service to his country, Ed served in the U.S. Navy on a submarine and married the love of his life, Mary Kay Sliwa. Ed worked as a precision grinder for the Hilliard Corp until retirement. With a great passion for organic gardening, Ed loved caring for his beautiful home, playing poker and creating lasting memories with his family. He was a member of Local # 311 I.V.E. and the Corning Poker Club. Survived by his loving wife, Mary Kay Sliwa Brown; their daughters, Karen (Patrick) Mateer, Roseanne Brown and Marianne Bernard all of CA; two grandchildren, Tyler Brown and Dillan Bernard; special nieces and nephews along with his beloved feline companion, Kaylee. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Rose Brown and Anne Wells, along with brother-in-law Walt (Madge) Sliwa. Ed was predeceased by his mother, Irene Wood Dassance; stepfather, William Dassance; brother, Joseph Brown; sister, Lorraine Ector; and nephew, Edward M. Brown. Family and friends will be received at Caywood's Funeral Home & Gardens, 1126 Broadway Southport/Elmira New York 14904 on Fri. May 27, 2016 between the hours of 4 to 6 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 6:15 p.m. A special thank you to the wonderful nurses at Care First. Crusade, Thomas Robert Was born November 16, 1922 in Hazelton, PA the son of the late Oscar and Mary (Atallah) Crusade, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the Bath VA Medical Center at the age of 93. The Chemung County Veteran's Honor Squad will accord Mr. Crusade with Military Honors, then Father Lewis Brown will celebrate and honor Tom's life.
