Kwasnik, James D.

Age 79, of Horseheads, NY, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank P. and Vera E. (Hulslander) Kwasnik; late wife, Beverly (Mathers); and his close companion, Betty Stewart. James is survived by his children, James F. (Lori Butler) Kwasnik of Lowman, Debbie (John) Coleman of Elmira and Susan (James) Reagan of Pine City; brother, Richard (Norma Lee) Kwasnik of Horseheads; grandchildren, Jamie (Beau Hays) Johnsrude, Kelly (Danielle) Kwasnik, Anthony Kwasnik, Desire Murphy, Jennifer and Stephanie Reagan; along with several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, the Stewart family and friends. James received an Honorable Discharge from the Army National Guard and retired as a machinist from Bendix/Facet after 39 years of service. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed flying RC Aircrafts. He was exceptionally proud of his children and grandchildren's achievements. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, May 14th, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow there at 6 p.m. with Rev. David Sullivan officiating. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family in Maple Grove Cemetery.
