Marge moved to Elmira in 1959 in order to be near her sister following a divorce from her first husband, Edward Adams. A high-school graduate with additional secretarial school training, she worked for more than 10 years as the secretary to the plant manager at Remington Rand. During the late 1960s, she found her soul mate in Francis Park, an Episcopal priest who she married in November 1969. She worked as the secretary to the Medical Director of the Elmira Psychiatric Center from the early 1970s until retiring in the mid 1990s. Highlights of her life include being named Secretary of the Year for Elmira in the late 1960s and touring locally and internationally with the Elmira Psychiatric Center's Mental Health Players. Marge was very involved in Grace Episcopal Church serving as a member of its choir and vestry. She also volunteered for the United Way, the Democratic Party and was on the board of Compeer.
In November 2006 she moved to Salt Lake City to be near her son Wayne. There she resided at St Joseph's Villa until her death.
A memorial service will be held at noon, Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Grace Episcopal Church, 375 W. Church St., Elmira, NY, followed by a luncheon at the church.
