Marge moved to Elmira in 1959 in order to be near her sister following a divorce from her first husband, Edward Adams. Highlights of her life include being named Secretary of the Year for Elmira in the late 1960s and touring locally and internationally with the Elmira Psychiatric Center's Mental Health Players. Marge was very involved in Grace Episcopal Church serving as a member of its choir and vestry. She also volunteered for the United Way, the Democratic Party and was on the board of Compeer.

In November 2006 she moved to Salt Lake City to be near her son Wayne. There she resided at St Joseph's Villa until her death.

A memorial service will be held at noon, Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Grace Episcopal Church, 375 W. Church St., Elmira, NY, followed by a luncheon at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations to Compeer can be made with checks sent to 550 E. Church St. Suite 104, Elmira, NY 14901, attention Lauren Shull.
