Dry Fork, VA: Richard W. Carman of Dry Fork, VA died on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Danville Regional Medical Center. He was born on February 24, 1949 in Sayre, PA to Helen Driscoll Carman and the Late Donald Carman. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed by Corning Incorporated in New York and Danville before retiring with over 35 years of service. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Carman and Christine Carman, both of Danville; his mother, Helen Carman of Northumberland, PA; and his siblings, Ralph Carman and his wife Donna, Ronald Carman and his wife Donna, Jack Carman and his wife Karen, and Ann Hodge and her husband Wes. He is also survived by Stacy Carman and Jennifer Carman and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2013, at Townes Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Susan Hannah officiating. Burial will be in Highland Burial Park.
