Thomas G. Keeton, age 86, of Elmira passed away suddenly on February 14, 2014 at home. He was born in Elmira to the late Gaylord and Mary Simons Keeton. Tom is survived by sister-in-law, Anne Keeton Dimmick of Horseheads; nephews, James Keeton of Rock Stream NY, John (Cherith) Keeton of Geneva NY, Jerry Keeton of Vancleave, MS, Richard (Barb) Harz, and Kenneth (Kathy) Harz both of Algoma, WI, nieces, Susan (Larry) Miller of Lake Worth, FL, Lisa (Jerry) Jacques of Gainesville VA, Barbara (Peter) Kozoyed of Baraboo, WI, Carol (Jeff) Buker of Elgin, IL and Nancy (Dana) Frankowski of Crystal Lake, IL. He was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Keeton; sister, Margaret Mary Harz; brother-in-law, Roland Harz and nephew, Joseph Keeton. Tom was a member of St. Mary's Church, Southside, where he served as an usher. He graduated from Southside High School and Cornell University. He retired from Westinghouse Corporation where he was employed as an electrical engineer. Tom loved to travel, ski, pilot small aircraft, and was an avid photographer. A Memorial Service will be held in early Spring at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by McInerny Funeral Home.
