Winifred H. Seamans, 100, of Jackson Street, Wellsboro, PA died on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Valley View Nursing Center in Montoursville, PA. She was the wife of the late Perry E. Seamans who preceded her in death, November 7, 2005. Winifred was born September 26, 1913 in Westfield, PA, the daughter of the late Norman and Ada (Blakely) Hunt. She was a graduate of Harrison Valley High School, Class of 1930. Winifred graduated from Mansfield State Teachers College, with a BS in Education in 1934. She taught in Harrison Valley for three years and Wellsboro School District for 20 years. Winifred was a member of Wellsboro United Methodist Church. In addition she was a member of B.P.W., Wellsboro, Delta Kappa Gamma and retired teachers association, Potter-Tioga County Chapters. She was a volunteer driver for North Penn Comprehensive Health Services and a volunteer for Special Olympics. Winnie was a quiet special lady, with great wisdom. She inspired her family with her kindness, love, gentle soul and generous spirit. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Bruce Fowler, Montoursville, PA; four grandchildren Krista (Robert) Archibald, Perry Seamans, Matthew Fowler and Ashley (Lee) Citarella; three great-grandchildren, Gregory and Andrew Archibald and Clara Fowler; daughter-in-law, Janice Seamans, Minneapolis, MN; nieces and nephews, Anne Frohm, Karen Keenan, David Hunt and Paul Hunt. Winifred was preceded in death by her sons, Lloyd H., Gordon P. and Harold C. Seamans and a nephew, Norman Hunt. Private family services will be held at Mills Cemetery, Mills, PA. Local arrangements by Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, "A Life Celebration Home", 139 Main Street, Wellsboro, PA. Memorials may be made in Winifred's name to Harrison Twp. Community Library, 105 E.
