Betty Davis Obituary
Age 90, of Elderwood Nursing Care Home of Waverly, NY and formerly of Elmira Heights, NY, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2012. Betty was born in West Danby, NY on October 19, 1921. After graduating from Ithaca High School, she married and moved to Elmira, NY, where she raised five (5) sons. Predeceased by her first husband, Frederick T. Ellison, father of her 5 sons; second husband, Richard Davis; sister, Blanche Shepherd; and son, Kenneth F. Ellison. She is survived by her 4 sons and daughters-in-law, Alice Ellison/Kenneth, Wellsburg, NY, David/Carole Ellison of Elmira, NY, Wayne/Nancy Ellison of Pine City, NY, Robert Ellison/Joanie Freeman of Elmira, NY and Thomas Ellison of Elmira, NY. Betty had 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A private funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church, 221 N. Elmer Ave, Sayre, PA, on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at 10 a.m. with interment to follow at Forrest Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Alteri-Bowen Funeral Home, 314 Desmond Street, Sayre, PA. The family would like to thank the staff at Elderwood Nursing Care Home for taking wonderful care of Betty.

She was so full of life and will be missed but know she will get to hang with the other betty davis in heaven and nobody will stop her from having what she wants on her hot dog
