Amanda Bush Obituary
Lansing: Amanda Lynn Bush went to be with her Father on June 20, 2014 at the age of 27. She was born June 11, 1987 to Wilfred Jr. and Kelly Ahrens Bush. Amanda loved people and her relaxed nature made friends gravitate toward her. Her greatest passion and source of happiness in life was being an exceptional mother to Madison Mae. Amanda was preceded in death by her father, Wilfred, and maternal grandparents, Bob and Mary Ahrens. She is survived by her daughter, Madison Mae Cortright; her fiancé and soul mate, Adam Cortright; her siblings, Branden Bush, Dillon Bush, Renee Bush, Shania Bush, Larry Welch, Justin Welch, three step siblings; paternal grandparents, Wilfred, Sr. and Sue Bush; aunt, Vera Bush; uncle, Jeffrey Bush; and a large extended family and many friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Amanda's memory may be directed to United Way of Tompkins County, Amanda Bush Memorial Fund, 313 N. Aurora St., Ithaca, NY 14850, or online at www.uwtc/AmandaBushFund. A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Monday, June 30th, at Lake Watch Inn, 1636 East Shore Drive, Ithaca, immediately followed by a reception. Interment will be private.

I didn't know Amanda but my heart goes out to her family,her little girl and her friends.Its never easy loosing someone you lov but to loose someone in this way is so horrific that its just a shock that will never heal.

Dear Amanda's life should remind all of us how fragile it all is and how much we all need to love those around us. She will live as a beacon for all of us to love our loved ones and remember to tell them always. A beautiful light lost but her legacy will outshine us all.

No one knows why such trajic things happen, but we do know that are sadly heartfelt by those who knew you and those you knew and yes, others because loss is universal and sharing feelings too. My own grandmother died at age 26; I never got to know her nor my parent. May your memory remain with us and your unborn as you rest in eternal peace as we will with respect the future to be well for your living daughter.
