Age 58 of Corning, NY and formerly of Elkland PA, passed away on May 16, 2012 with her family by her side. Brenda was born December 27, 1953 to the late Santina Palumbo Smith an Italian immigrant and the late Bernard M. Smith, a former U.S Navy Veteran from Pennsylvania. Brenda graduated from Elkland High School, acquired an associates degree from Penn Tech, as well as a cosmetology degree. She was a former employee of Corning Inc. and private Nanny in Arizona and Connecticut. Brenda loved life; her true passion was being an amazing Momma and Nonni. She also loved her family, friends, singing, dancing, shopping, loved doing hair and makeup, fishing, traveling, cooking and GOD. She was a strong, independent woman that brought laughter and strength to all she met. She was not afraid to seek out and conquer challenges. She is survived by her loving children, Joseph (Amanda) Smith of Avondale, AZ, Caprice (Jaime) Kinner- Alvarez of Corning, NY, and Meghan Gibson of Sparks, NV; grandchildren, Santina, Austin, and Isabella; Siblings Darlene (Dennis) Audinwood, Josephine (William) Austin, Francis (Gerald) Grapevine, Dominic Siciliano, Mary (Gary) Probst and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a special adopted second son, Shajal Haroon. She was preceded in death by her brothers Phillip and Natali Siciliano. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at this website www.gofundme.com/o2a8s.
