Watterson, Chester L.
Age 89, of Horseheads, NY, passed away on Sunday, February 07, 2016 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. He was born on October 10, 1926 to the late George and Deretha (Sybert) Watterson. Chester was predeceased by his wife, Wilma (June) Watterson and daughter, Patricia Schultz. He is survived by his sons, Richard (Karen) Clark and Chester (Judy) Watterson; daughter, Deretha Watterson; brothers, George, Jerry and Wiet Watterson; sister, Mary Callahan; son-in-law, Wilbur Schultz; grandchildren, Andrew (Kim) Schultz, Kenneth (Jenniffer) Yentzer, Amanda (Randy) Thress and Melissa Casbolt; great-grandchildren, Allen, Andrew, Kailey, Faith, James, RJ, Angel, Jessica, Jasmine, Abigail, Nathan, Anna, Hanna, Luke, Ella, Peyton and Jylohn; 5 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and special caregivers, Rob and Lisa Kimball. Chester was a veteran of the US Army and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #34. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, February 9th from 4 to 6 p.m. at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place there on Wednesday, February 10th at 11 a.m. with his grandson, Kenneth Yentzer officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery with full military honors.

Chester Watterson Sr. a great kind man that always had a smile on his face. Im so glad that I had the opportunity to meet him and get to know him and his late wife. I know he is up above with his wife now the glory to the Watterson Family I send my condolences and will keep you all in my prayers also beautiful pictures that amazing smile he had so now may he RIP

So sorry for your loss, He is my Uncle and I am thankful to have met him again as I am older now. My mom, his youngest only sister, Loved him dearly & he will be missed. God Bless The Whole Family & Friends.
