Debra Lynn Cutler-Carlier, age 51, of Elmira died Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. Debbie was born on July 31, 1962 in Corning to Ash and Rose (McIntyre) Cutler. Debbie graduated from West High School, Bryant and Stratton, and Elmira College. She received a Master's in Education from Elmira College. Debbie loved music and singing. She married Edward Carlier on August 16, 2002. She worked for the Elmira Heights School District as a long term sub. She is survived by her parents Ash and Rose Cutler of Corning; two sisters, Kathy Cutler of Big Flats and Ann (Steve) Shelley of Corning; two brothers, Buddy (Sharon) Cutler of Big Flats and Jim (Krista) Cutler of Painted Post; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; mother-in-law, Dorothy Carlier of Horseheads; sister-in-law, Jodi (Tom) Atkinson and Karen (Bret) Patton; brother-in-law, John Carlier. Calling hours will be Friday, November 8th from 4 until 8 pm at Haughey Funeral Home, Inc., 216 E. First Street in Corning. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, November 9th at St. Mary's Church on State Street in Corning with Father Lew Brown and Pastor David Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Corning. Debbie's family has entrusted her care to Haughey Funeral Home, Inc. in Corning.
