Galvin, Edward J.
A lifelong resident of Ridgebury Township, PA passed away very unexpectedly on Wed. Mar. 6, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital at the age of 79. Born on Oct. 29, 1933, son of the late Patrick & Nellie Donovan Galvin, Ed served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a communicant of St. Ann's and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parishes. A hard worker, Ed was employed by the Carpenter's Union #532 of Elmira. Ed enjoyed being outdoors hunting, spending time with his friends and cherished neighbors. Surviving is his loving brother and sister-in-law, Robert & Jane Galvin, Columbia Cross Roads, PA; their children, Marie Huber, Michael & Alecia Galvin, Lisa & Terry Freed, John & Vicky Galvin; several great nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Caywood's Funeral Home & Gardens, 1126 Broadway, Southport/Elmira on Sat. Mar. 9, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and again on Sun. from 2-4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Mon. afternoon at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Ridgebury, PA at 1 p.m. with interment in the family mausoleum at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded.
