Ulster, PA: G. Caryl Bush, 83, of Ulster, PA, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2014, at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. She was born at home in Rome, PA on December 6, 1930, the daughter of the late Irving and Doris (Dowell) Bixby. In addition to her parents, Caryl was predeceased by her husband, Richard Bush; and her daughter, Caryl Ann "Tami" Donald. She is survived by her children, Frank and Corinne Donald, Jon and Marsha Donald, Chris Donald and Erin Moore, Tyre Camille Bush and Mark Lyons, J. Carter and Shelley Bush; her grandchildren, Russell, Michael, Samantha, Alex, Jennifer, Brandie, Chelsie, Amber, Travis, Ashley, Dylan, Rylyn, Danielle, Quinn, Sawyr, Cameron, Gabriel, Taylor, Hannah; her great-grandchildren, Hayli, Jayden, Braylin, Lucy, Cheyenne, Sullivan, Caelynn, Aiden, Lorraine; her sister, Cynthia Odell; niece, Heidi Odell; very special friends, Helen Tarreto, Esther Curley; and her faithful canine companion, Grady. Caryl and her husband built and operated Barnaby's Restaurant in Nichols, NY where she was able to express and share her lifetime joy of cooking and baking. She truly loved to read and, in later years, enjoyed old Western shows on television. Caryl also enjoyed needlework, gardening and the simple pleasure of cultivating and growing her plants and flowers. Family and friends are invited to Caryl's home, 43 Comstock Rd., Ulster, PA, on Saturday, January 18, 2014, from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. to reminisce and share memories. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution in memory of Caryl to the Bradford County Area Agency on Aging, 701 Main St., Towanda, PA 18848, in recognition of all their assistance. The family wishes to also extend their thanks to Caryl's caregivers and helpers, Doreen and Scott Ross, Ashley Dean, Mavis Humphrey and Jordan Roloson.
