Cornish, Jack Walter, Jr.
Mr. Jack Walter Cornish, Jr., 64, of Clarkton died Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at his residence. He was born October 2, 1948 in Chemung County, NY, the son of the Blanche Damon Cornish and the late Jack Walter Cornish, Sr. He was formerly employed in movie set construction in Wilmington. He was a veteran of Vietnam having served in the US Marine Corps and was the recipient of two Purple Hearts. He is survived by two sons, Jack W. Cornish, III and wife, Joy of Irvine, CA and Derek Cornish of Canada; a daughter, Jennifer Troccia of Wilmington; brothers, Steve Cornish and wife, Charice of Dandridge, TN, Lee Cornish and wife, Lorie of Elmira, NY, Damon Cornish and wife, Holly of Elmira, NY, Hank Cornish and wife, Carla of Castle Hayne, NC, Wayne Cornish and wife, Vicky of Elmira, NY; sisters, Loretta Cornish of Elmira, NY, Lois Osgood and husband, Gary of Elmira, NY, Lorraine Stanton and husband, Randy of Corning, NY, Louise Culpepper and husband, Lee Roy of Clarkton; five grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and a daughter, Jennifer Louise Cornish. The family will plan a memorial service at a later date in New York.
