Carr, Leona E.

Age 93 of Saco and Biddeford, Maine formerly of Erin, NY and Horseheads, NY passed away on Monday March 17, 2014. Leona was born February 6, 1921 in Wayland, NY the daughter of the late Howard Colton Wilson and Edna Dunham Wilson. She married her husband, Donald L. Carr Sr., on December 23, 1939 and he pre-deceased her on January 8, 2000 after over 60 years of marriage. Leona was also predeceased by her sisters Dorothy Wilson and Mildred Wilson Kuhn. Leona and Donald were long-time members of The Erin United Methodist Church. Leona enjoyed going to Dunkin' Donuts for a cup of coffee and a donut. Mrs. Carr is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Donald L. & Cheryl Carr Jr. of Hollis Center, ME and Ronald G. & Valeree Carr of Nottingham, NH; grandchildren: Darren Carr and wife Sheryl, Brian Carr, Roger Carr and wife Donna, Rhonda Daigler and husband David, and Christina Volo and husband Guiseppi; great grandchildren: Alexandra Carr, Aiden Carr, Dawson Carr, Erinn Carr, Finnian Carr, Dana Daigler, Justin Daigler, Katelyn Carr, Zachary Carr, Giovanni Volo, and Vincenzo Volo; brothers and sisters-in-law: Howard C. & Helen Wilson Jr. of Erin, NY, Ernest Wilson of Maiden, NC, Raymond & Rachel Wilson of SC; sisters: Olive (Mrs. Randall) Kline of Erin, NY and Esther Karppala of Horseheads, NY; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Sunday March 23, 2014 from 1-3 PM. Mrs. Carr's Funeral Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours with the Rev. Beverly Davenport officiating. Leona will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Donald in Millport Cemetery in Millport, NY. In Lieu of Flowers those wishing may make memorial contributions in Mrs. Carr's memory to The .
