Arnold, May E.

Age 90, of Squires Rd. in Erin, passed away Wed. Apr. 16, 2014. She was born May 13, 1923 in Hector, NY to Frank and Lelia (Erway) White. She was married Jan. 12, 1947 to her husband, Everet Arnold, who predeceased her in 1990. Her surviving family includes her daughters and sons, Edwin (Patricia) Arnold, Judy (Glen) Whitesell, Janet Arnold all of Erin, NY, Timothy (Diana) Arnold of Archer, FL, Christopher (Renee') Arnold of Erin, NY, and Peter (Lisa) Arnold of Horseheads, NY; several grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was also predeceased by her grandson, Eugene Arnold, in 2003. May was the last of nine siblings. She was a retired machinist/grinder working at Hardinge Inc. in Elmira Heights for 13 years. She was also a "Rosie the Riveter" during the War years. May also enjoyed countless walks around the farm. May was active with the Bone Savers in Erin and a devoted homemaker. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., Horseheads on Mon. April 21, 2014 from 4-6:00 p.m. Her service will follow at 6:00 p.m. Burial in Scotchtown Cemetery in Erin. Condolences and remembrances at
