Baker, Gerald G.

At his Pine City home on Fri. Mar. 14, 2014 with decling health at the age of 85. Born on Nov. 6, 1928 in Wellsburg; Gerald was the son of the late, William & Martha McKibbin Baker. He married the love of his life Wilda Reppard on Feb. 16, 1952 in Southport and she predeceased him on June 22, 2012. In service to his country, Jerry enlisted in the US Army following WWII. A good provider and hard working man; Gerald founded and was the proprietor of Gerald G. Baker & Son Contracting still in operation today. In his free time, He enjoyed bowling, camping, boating, travel and family times. Surviving is his daughter, Susan (Donald) Saunders, Southport; son, Gerald Baker, Pine City; 2 grandchildren, Matthew (Justine) Saunders, Elmira; and Carly Saunders, Elmira; a great grandson, Joseph Matthew Saunders; sister, Betty; sister-in-law, Ila (William) Woodhull; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Jerry was predeceased by brothers, Tom and Robert Baker. In honor of his wishes there will be no public services.
