Boyce, Betsy Jean

Spring Grove: Betsy Jean Boyce, age 59, passed away suddenly at home on April 26, 2014. She was the loving daughter of the late Glenn E. Boyce who passed away in 2001 and Lynette J. (Shedden) Boyce who passed away on the same day just a few minutes prior. Betsy was born on May 18, 1954 in Troy PA. She graduated from Horseheads High School and Syracuse University. She worked for Hills Department Store and WellPoint Healthcare for more than 20 years. She was a very active member of the Church of the Open Door in York PA and was also very involved in the missions through her church. She will be greatly missed by her church family. Betsy is survived by her sister Susan Berg and husband Larry of Richmond VA; her brothers Dennis Boyce and wife Debi of Clemmons NC and Steven Boyce and wife Pattie of Colorado Springs CO; and six nieces and nephews and seven great nieces and nephews. Following cremation, a memorial service in celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Church of the Open Door, 8 Carlisle Court, York PA 17408. The time will be announced at a later date. Family services are under the direction of Irwin-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., of Spring Grove.
