DeRenzo, Marian G.

Age 103, of Horseheads, NY, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014 at Bethany Manor. She was born on June 24, 1910 in Sayre, PA to the late Joel and Ada (Davidson) Ives. She was predeceased by her husbands, Ellis Harlan and Samuel DeRenzo, sisters, Catherine Cosgrove and Geraldine Lawrence. She is survived by her sons, Bruce Harlan of The Villages, FL and Joel Harlan of Newfield, NY; grandchildren, Tammy Levitt, Michelle Harlan and Carey Ovitt; great-grandchild, Amber Ovitt; sister, Marjorie Gelunas; step-daughter-in-law, Mary Vitucci and family; brother-in-law, Charles Cosgrove; along with several nieces and nephews. Marian retired in 1971 from Corning East High School having taught Advanced Business Education and was a long time member of Lake Street Presbyterian Church. Music was Marian's love and she shared her talent on the piano with the community by entertaining at hospitals and nursing homes and with the residents and staff at Bethany. It was Marian's request that no services take place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James D. Barrett Funeral Home.
