Pittsford: Franzese, Diana M. of Pittsford, NY passed away on Tuesday May 13th, 2014. Diana was born November 19, 1950 in Montour Falls to Vera and the late Joseph Franzese. She was a graduate of Watkins Glen High School.
Diana is survived by her mother Vera Franzese, son Jason (Teresa) Franzese of Greece, NY, sister Angela(Neil) Seamon, brothers Chuck(Roe) Franzese, Joseph(Nelly) Franzese, John(Doreen) Franzese and Bob Franzese. Brother in law Gary Kelly, sister in law Virginia Franzese, many nieces, nephews, cousins, Aunts and Uncles as well as best friend Linda Mosher.
Diana was predeceased by her father Joseph Franzese, sisters Nancy Franzese and Mary Kelly as well as brother Michael Franzese.
Diana moved to the Rochester area in the early 70's and spent most of her adult life in that area working as a computer programmer specializing in information security. She spent the last 28 plus years working for Discover (CitiGroup) as a security specialist.
Diana was very involved in helping her community and was especially proud of the time she spent helping families through the Angel Tree Program.
The family would like to extend thanks to the Wilmot Cancer Center at Strong Memorial Hospital as well as the special people working at the Sussman Palliative Care Unit.
Friends and family may call from 1PM to 4PM on Saturday May 17th at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home 59 Monroe St. Honeoye Falls, NY and from 3PM to 7PM Sunday May 18th at the Haughey Wood Funeral Home, 119th Fifth St Watkins Glen, NY. A mass celebrating her life will be held at 9AM on Monday, May 19th at St. Mary's of the Lake Church, 905 Decatur St., Watkins Glen with celebrant Father Paul Bonacci, followed by a Christian burial at the Holy Cross cemetery immediately following the mass.
