Warriner, Doris J.

Wellsboro, PA: Doris J. Warriner, 88, a resident of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on May 22, 2014 at the Green Home in Wellsboro. She was the wife of the late Harry B. Warriner, who preceded her in death on October 17th, 2006. Doris was born in York, PA, July 23, 1925, the daughter of the late Philip Henry and Sarah Elizabeth (Glaze) Amig. On March 17th, 1945, Harry and Doris were married at the 1st United Methodist Church, in Wellsboro, PA. Doris was a homemaker who devoted her time as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who selflessly loved and cared for her family. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Wellsboro, PA. Doris is survived by two sons, Larry Warriner (Pamela) of Mansfield, PA, Harland "Rick" Warriner (Marla) of Shinglehouse, PA; eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and many cousins in York, PA. Doris is preceded in death by her parents, Philip Amig and Sarah Pifer; husband, Harry; her son, Philip J. Warriner; and daughter, Paula McChesney. Friends and family are invited to Doris' Life Celebration, Tuesday, May 27th, from 1-3 p.m. and Committal Service to follow at 3 p.m. at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, "A Life Celebration Home", 139 Main St., Wellsboro, PA.
