Sheets, Edward Lee

Age 62 of Elmira, passed away Tues. July 1, 2014 at Arnot-Ogden Medical Center following declining health. Born on Mar. 28, 1952 in Elmira, Ed was the son of the late, Leon O. Sheets & Rose Mary Bowman (Sheets) King. He married Gale Blackman in Elmira on Nov. 30, 1974. A hard worker and good provider, Ed was employed by Moore Business Forms for many years as a printer and relocated with Multi Forms Inc. Fairfield, CT; until his retirement. Ed enjoyed carpentry, hunting, rifles, listening to the Beatles and collecting Zippo lighters. Surviving is his loving wife and companion, Gale Sheets, Elmira; children, Amy (Ron Borucki) Sheets, Ansonia, CT; Kristopher (Sarah) Sheets, Gilbert, AZ; grandchildren, Brittany Mae Beck, Tyler Adam Beck, Brandon Lee Sheets and Makennah Sheets; siblings, Linda Diann Sheets, Fl; Suzanne Marie Christian, Elmira; Sherry Ann Sheets, Fl; Penny Mae (Alvin) Roberts, Sandra Karen Coleman, Victoria Lynn (William) Payne, Paula Kay (Al) Durgin, Brenda Joyce Sheets all of Elmira; and Melissa Ann Perry, GA; stepfather, Peter King, Southport; brother-in-law, Chas Blackman, Rochester; as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Caywood's Funeral Home & Gardens, 1126 Broadway, Southport/Elmira on Sat. July 5, 2014 between the hours of 1-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to your local animal shelter in Edwards memory. Many thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at Arnot-Ogden Medical Center floor 3C with special thanks to nurse Amy.
