Morse, Gary L. "Butch"

Gary L. "Butch" Morse, 68 of Tioga, PA, passed away July 18, 2014 at Corning Hospital. He was born in Corning, November 20, 1945, the son of Burrell & Mabel Thrall Morse. Butch was a retiree of Corning Incorporated and enjoyed working at several area golf courses. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and a member of the Herbert Lee Webster Post # 235 American Legion. Butch was a loving, caring, husband, father and grandpa who had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, mowing the yard, and tinkering with tractors. He was a great man and will surely be missed. Butch is survived by his wife of 27 years, the former, Hazel Heffner; daughters, Gina Cota of Greensboro, NC, and Holly Cornelison of Asheboro, NC; a son, Michael (Katrina) Morse of Lawrenceville, PA; seven grandchildren, Kristen & Allison Morse, Letristen Mortimer, Katie & Bud Archer, Trey & Xander Cota; three brothers, Burrell (Cindy) Morse of Lindley, NY, Sidney Morse of Tioga, PA, Richard Morse of Lawrenceville, PA; four sisters, Patty Osgood (Steve) of Corning, NY, Carol (Vern) Porter of Coopers Plains, NY, Donna (Joe) Wood of Winston-Salem, NC, and Charlotte (Steve) Houghtaling of Addison, NY. Friends are invited to call at the Gary Wilston Funeral Home & Cremation Service 130 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA, Saturday, July 26, 10 AM - noon.
