ATTITUDE, was one of his favorite words, and I believe it, as that was how he perceived life! The sign in his office was a daily reminder. My regret, wished I'd had more conversations with him!

Still remember him
Though I didn't know him as well as I would have liked to,I know he was a man who had good work ethics, and always was interesting to listen to..ATTITUDE..I remember this word.

I was one of the many people who had the opportunity to play golf with Bill and Jim Rogers. Bill was a tremendous example on the golf course and, more significantly, a tremendous example in life.

I consider it an honor and a privilege to have known Bill Tryon. I was fortunate over a period of approximately 30 years to have interacted with him both professionally and socially. Very few ever even approach the level of his educational, athletic, professional, or community service accomplishments. A soldier, scholar, and exceptional athlete, along with the highest degree of professional accomplishment in his chosen profession, he was always a gentleman, forever humble, and as sincere and kind a man as one could ever meet. This is a profound loss for not only his family, but for his community as well. He leaves a legacy of service and accomplishment that is truly remarkable. Elmira is indeed fortunate to claim him as its own.

Sue and family,
Please know that I am thinking of you during this difficult time and keeping you all in my prayers.
As you watched your loving parents sail across the calming blue waters and into the horizon, you could only say, "There they go." But their glorious entrance into the Lord's kingdom, found them greeted with joyous calls of, "Here they come!" Be comforted in knowing that they've just embarked on their next magnificent journey.

MARINE.
Few earn the title "United States Marine", once earned they are Marines Forever.
When they die, their Honor Clean, they stand before Heavens Gates and see two signs, one Eternal Peace the other "Marines".
Below the sign Marines is a path, the Marine follows the path to a Quonset Hut, knocks three times and enters.
Behind a table stand two Marines, Colonel Lewis B. Puller and Sergeant Major Dan Daly.
The SgtMaj.,hands the Marine a Quill Pen and bottle of Red Black Ink, he signs his name to the Duty Roster, after which his Heavenly Robes fade replaced by Standard Marine Corps issue.
The Marine smiles, does a right face and out the hatch to the Yellow Footprints to muster as The USMC, Devil Dog Division.
The Marines purpose is clear, to fight the forces of evil for all eternity under the command of the ultimate Commander-In-Chief, GOD-ALMIGHTY..
"By the Grace of God
and a Few Marines,
It's good to be home".
Semper Fi Bil...

Deeply saddened to hear of Bill's passing. My condolences to his family in their time of grief. I have known Bill for the last 18 years and every time i would see him we would first talk about work for a few moments and then the next 10 minutes about sports. He loved to talk sports with anyone who would listen. i will miss seeing him walk through Trayer"s.
